Una gringa en Guayaquil

Via Icerocket he descubierto el blog de Dana Hill. Su blog está escrito en inglés y ofrece un interesante reportaje del trabajo que viene realizando para Mi Cometa en uno de los lugares mas conflictivos de Guayaquil, El Guasmo. Hace la presentación de su blog con un poema basado en el de Emily Dickenson:

I’m nobody! Who are you?
Are you nobody, too?
Then there’s a pair of us – don’t tell!
They’d banish us, you know.
How dreary to be somebody!
How public like a frog.
To tell your name the livelong day
To an admiring bog!

And I’m Dana
who are you?
are you wondering that too?
how lovely to be writing
how public like a frog
to put to words
this thing called life
and post it on a blog

Gringa in Guayaquil merece ser leído porque refleja la vida y la cuotidianeidad de quienes no pueden escribirlo o siquiera publicarlo. El mensaje viene acompañado de fotografias muy reveladoras. Gracias Dana por dejarnos encontrarte. Adios.
